Nucleus: Low-fidelity Design System

The problem: Attempting to introduce new user experiences and functionality in a technology organization with an existing design system. Showing them sketches was too abstract and wasn’t getting the point across, but showing new features at high fidelity caused the stakeholders to get hung up on details and jump the gun with hypothetical implementation concerns.

My solution: Low fidelity digital wireframes. I developed a monochrome design system that adequately abstracted the interface while using familiar UX patterns to talk through new features, with resounding success.

I continued developing the project and released it as a fully-documented open-source library for Sketch.
